Board Certification

The HealthPlus credentialing process requires that physicians be board certified, by a board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties(ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).

HealthPlus expects that board certification will be achieved within five years of completion of residency training. Physicians who do not become board certified in this period of time may be subject to departicipation by HealthPlus.Physicians are also expected to maintain board certification throughout their affiliation with HealthPlus.
