HealthPlus of Michigan, a long-standing supporter of the Crim Festival of Races, is taking that support to a new level in 2008 in two ways.
HealthPlus, which has sponsored major Crim festival features, such as the 8K run and the 5-mile water station, for nearly two decades, has accepted the role of “title sponsor” for the Flint event this year.
In addition to its increased support of the Crim’s efforts in Flint, HealthPlus will follow the organization as it expands its race program into Oakland County. HealthPlus was the first sponsor named for the Crim/Brooksie Way half-marathon which will take place in October.
“As a health management services company serving members in both Genesee and Oakland County, it makes perfect sense for us to support the Crim’s efforts to promote healthy physical activity in both areas,” said HealthPlus President and CEO David Crosby. “ The Crim program’s goals directly reflect our vision of a healthier community, therefore we are proud to partner with them to pursue that vision.”
“The Crim organization has always been able to count on HealthPlus for financial support, volunteers and creativity,” said Crim Fitness Foundation CEO Gerry Myers. “We couldn’t be more pleased with their enhanced role this year and their enthusiasm about our efforts in Oakland County.”
